The activities of the Special Investigation Service are focused on carrying out preliminary investigation by criminal cases in regard to the leading officials of legislative, executive and judicial authorities, persons carrying out special state service connected with their official position or complicity or the crimes committed by them, as well as electoral procedures provided by the Republic of Armenia Criminal Procedure Code.
